Happy Halloween!

Since coming to the US, I have completely adopted the American way of celebrating Halloween.  Lots of candy, decorations, dress up, and fun!  I still light a few candles to remember the dead.

My friend, Yvonne, and I hosted a kids Halloween party at my house.  It was fun to prep and the kids enjoyed themselves.  Halloween fell on a Saturday this year so we got to Trick or Treat after the party.

Mummy juice boxes.  Yvonne is so creative!

Ghost cheese sticks and monster grape cups

Spider and witch hat cookies and candy corn cupcakes

Eliora wins best costume!

Scuba diver and social butterfly

cute!

Our neighbors win best decorated house.  You can't really beat a hearse driven by a skeleton.

Andrew gave out candy continuously for about 3 hours before we finally ran out and had to turn off all the lights.

We adopted a skeleton theme for our decorations, after finding a stack of 3ft posable skeletons at Target.  We hung them from the trees and Mary posed them in the manner in which they died.

Guy on the left was a distracted driver and the guy on the right was struck by lightning while doing the Whip and Nae Nae.

Homemade lanterns!
